The SOCAT metadata requirements are detailed in the <a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/2024_SOCAT_QC_Cookbook_Update.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">SOCAT cookbook (2024)<\/a>. Please, use this guidance for providing metadata information. SOCAT accepts metadata in any format (OME, pdf, etc). SOCAT encourages data providers to use the <a href=\"https:\/\/data.pmel.noaa.gov\/sdig\/socat\/MetadataEditor.html\" target=\"_blank\">online metadata editor<\/a> to generate the latest metadata format.
